Aqua Turf’s 23rd Annual Bridal Show a success

January 11, 2013 by

On January 6, brides, families, wedding planners, and style enthusiasts alike flocked to the 23rd Annual Bridal show at Southington’s Aqua Turf for wedding fashion and décor inspiration. Many Connecticut mother-daughter and bridal party teams could be found trying on gowns, meeting vendors, and searching for those last-minute details that would make their upcoming wedding picture perfect.

Visitor Jenn Gugliotti, attending the event with a good friend and bridesmaid, admitted with a laugh:

“Most of my planning is done already because I’m OCD.”

The Bridal Show was jam-packed with representatives from bridal shops, design boutiques, florists, photography studios, and caterers from around Connecticut, each looking to accommodate brides and share wisdom and current trends for 2013.

Theresa Sakowicz, Artistic Director of Always Bloomin’, notes:

“We work individually with each bride and we’re willing to work with any budget.”

While some brides walked into the event looking for inspiration, others had their weddings already planned and were searching for finishing touches of jewelry or accessories. For the most spontaneous bride, an on-site wedding chapel and Justice of the Peace were available to eager couples.

Southington natives, and those from neighboring towns like Bristol and New Britain, benefited greatly from the event, many leaving with new ideas and the supplies needed to make their upcoming wedding an event to remember.

Promotional materials used to raise awareness of the event likely came from local print companies, and many vendors used social media, flyers, and business card printing services to advertise their trade.
