Warrenville warms up for winter fun

November 28, 2012 by

Holly Days in Warrenville is an annual family, fun-filled annual event that is brought to the community courtesy of the Warrenville Park District. This celebration marks the official arrival of Santa Claus and the holiday gift-giving season and is a great way to kick off the community’s Christmas season.

Families are invited to come out and join in the festivities by enjoying some quality time together watching the local school and Park District dance troops, enjoying some great singers, watching and listening to area bands, and warming up to a grand bonfire. During this event, families will be able to purchase raffle tickets for various items, enjoy a free horse and carriage ride, and sit on the lap of St. Nick to have their pictures taken, so it would be foolish not to bring a camera.

Complimentary hot cider and cookies will be available to enjoy under the magical glow of the holiday lights that are visible from Route 56. There will be additional activities for children and, just maybe, a little snow.

Poster printing and flyer printing were probably used to advertise and promote this festive holiday event to members of this community and the surrounding districts. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. The Holly Days in Warrenville celebration will be happening on Friday, December 7 starting early evening at the Warrenville Park District Recreation Center, across the road from the Police Department, on Warren Avenue in Warrenville, Illinois. For additional details and times of events, please visit the Warrenville Park District Recreation Center website.
