Global Winter Wonderland featured at Great America

November 23, 2012 by

The Global Winter Wonderland in Santa Clara will move into Great America this year, getting underway today, November 23, and running all the way until New Year’s Day. Traditionally, the event has been held outside but will now take place inside Great America.

The event promises to be bigger and better this year, with more of the Chinese giant lanterns – one of the main attractions at the festival. Additional entertainment has also been drafted in, starting with the opening ceremony this evening. A stage will be set-up for karaoke and dancers beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Santa will be available for pictures with the tots and family in the afternoons from 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm.

Lady Halo performs on Carousel Stage throughout the evening along with the Short Acrobat Show. Other performing acts include Cirquedelic, Dan Chan, Magic Man, Dan Davinci, and Alex Wu Magic. A dance party will also take place, beginning at 7:00 pm.

One of the highlights of the event is undoubtedly the wide array of International foods available. Specialties include Chinese, Mexican, Japanese, Italian, Indian, Thai, Greek, Vietnamese, Carnival food and Texas BBQ – not forgetting traditional American, of course. Here is a chance to sample them all in a fun holiday setting.

Staging an event of this type involves a lot of coordination and marketing. Promotion is key to a successful event and one of the key components in the promotional plan involves working with printing companies. Flyer, banner, and brochure printing provides the materials necessary to announce and promote the festival.
