2013 Throwdown comes to the OC
The 2013 Orange County Throwdown is set to get underway tomorrow, January 12, and will feature some of the fittest athletes in the country in a competition to geared to test their stamina.
Held at the OC Fair and Event Center, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, this event is expected to attract thousands. Doors open at 7:00 am for spectators. Tickets to this highly anticipated event are $35, or $20 for seniors and children. Children age 11 and younger are free, and parking is $5.
It kicks off at 7:00 am with a 7K run, followed by workout competitions. Hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Saturday and 7:00 am – 6:00 pm Sunday. The awards ceremony will take place at 4:45 pm on Sunday.
The Alley Bar and Grill, 4501 Pacific Coast Highway, Newport Beach, will be the site for the after party celebration from 7:00 pm – midnight.
Tickets are available on arrival for one or both days. Wine and beer can be purchased inside the venue but no outside alcohol will be allowed in. There will be plenty of food trucks and vendors to satisfy any food cravings.
The first Throwdown competition took place in January 2010 and attracted more than 125 competitive athletes. Now, high-quality competitors travel from as far as Nevada and northern California to compete. Poster printing is great way to highlight top contenders in the competition and also make excellent souvenirs for fans to take home.
