Tomball hops to it

Tomball will host the 6th Annual 5K Bunny Run, along with the 1 Mile Family Walk, in just a couple of weeks. The fun event is presented by Tomball’s Lone Star College.
The certified course takes the runners through the old downtown area of the city. Each participant will receive a T-shirt, and hundreds of running friends are expected to register.
Registration is still underway for the event and can be handled at the Annex Building on S Cherry Street, or on race day. A discount of 20% is being offered to groups of five participants or more.
Event organizers are working with local schools and offering an award to the school with the most runners.
The race will begin at the Historic Train Depot Place on S. Elm Street. The Bunny Run 5K and Kids’ 1 Mile are part of the Fun Runs series. The events bring friends, visitors, and family together for a day of enjoyment.
Outdoor events require signage to direct attendees and racers through the venue and the course. Banner printing is a common project for local print companies when organizers prepare for marathons and races.
Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion to the top three winners determined by age category in the 5K. For the 1 mile, children aged 10 and under will all receive a memento.
The runs take place on April 12. Visit the City of Tomball Bunny Run website to register and find more information.
