German Festival comes to Tomball

The 14th Annual Tomball German Heritage Festival will take place in March this year and promises to bring a great deal of fun and German culture to the area.

The event began with just one ‘oompah’ band positioned on a flat-bed trailer. Through the years it has grown and become a beloved tradition in the region and is known to be one of the best music festivals in greater Texas.

Celebrating the German heritage derived from the first settlers in Tomball in the 1800s, the festival provides ethnic food, German music, wine, beer, and an Oktoberfest setting in March. Approximately 150 vendors will feature German souvenirs, arts and crafts, fireworks, antiques and a Heritage Center.

The family-friendly festival will offer fun for the kids including a carnival, pony rides, petting zoo, and street performers. Strolling musicians will entertain throughout the weekend.

The street vendors have a great deal of preparation to handle prior to the event. In addition to ensuring excellent merchandise for sale, the booth or display area must be set-up to attract visitors and ideally sales. Banner printing is a must as the banners are placed within the booth area with the vendors’ names, logos and other identifying information.

Poster printing is also an important step in handling marketing for the event. The posters can be placed throughout the region to announce the upcoming event and generate attendance.

The 2014 Tomball German Heritage Festival will take place in the Old Town area on March 28, 29 and 30 at the Historical Train Depot Plaza.
