A bus trip to see the performance of ‘Madame Butterfly’, departing from the T. E. Harman Center located at 226 Matlage Way in Sugar Land Texas, should be the perfect day out for local theater and ballet buffs.

This bus trip is being provided for Sugar Land Senior Center, although non-residents are also welcome, with an additional 25% charge applied. This classic play features Madame Butterfly, who emerges innocently from her cocoon to discover she is very vulnerable to life around her. This is the story of a stunning geisha who gives up her family and her faith to get married to an American Naval Officer. It is known to be a heartbreaking and compelling story that has a powerful Puccini musical score and exotic costuming.

The neo-classical, internationally successful ballet has been performed on three individual continents to glowing reviews. The audience is bound to enjoy this riveting performance as the dancers sweep the stage with emotional presence. This bus trip also includes a stop so that guests can enjoy a fine dinner, although this is not included in the cost.

Scheduled for Thursday, September 6, the bus for the excursion leaves at 4:30 pm and will return back to the center at approximately 10:00 pm. Poster printing, brochure printing, and flyer printing may have been used to notify residents of the Sugar Land Senior Center and surrounding residents about this ballet. The cost of this bus trip is $40 per person. For additional information, please visit the Sugar Land Senior Center’s website or call the T. E. Harman Center during business hours.
