Jazz music fun in the Sugar Land Town Square

May 7, 2013 by

Sugar Land Town Square is hosting Stephen Richard, a jazz saxophonist, to brighten spirits and inspire residents to dance, sing, and relax.

Despite being fairly new to the jazz scene, Richard has built up a strong reputation over a relatively short period of time, and has played at numerous jazz festivals across the state. As a student, Richard even gained the approval of the late jazz-funk legend Grover Washington Jr.

The Sugar Land Town Square will not provide seating for the event, so attendees should bring lawn chairs or commit to dancing the evening away. With the large crowd drawn by this young jazz player comes a host of budding local businesses. A few digital business cards and other advertising methods provided by printing services will probably circulate so these small businesses receive the publicity they need to thrive.

Several shops around the Plaza will provide affordable food and drinks to keep the night going as long as the music is playing. Expect upbeat dancing, gourmet food, ample drinks, and a general friendly atmosphere. Everyone will be merrily eating, drinking, and enjoying a multitude of Stephen Richard’s auditory masterpieces.

The evening will pass all too quickly for those who are lost in the music, but cameras are welcome so each spectator can remember the night forever. The musician himself will also be open to signing a few autographs at the end of his jazz session, no doubt.

Stephen Richard is scheduled to start playing at around 7:30 p.m on Friday, May 17.
