Spring won’t forget about pets this weekend
October 19, 2013 by Max
Spring’s PetFest 2013 is a weekend event set to be ideal good for the whole family, and aimed at finding homes for many animals that live in shelters, have been abandoned, or have been rescued from unsavory environments. With many animals on show, brochure printers have probably been kept busy in producing information for attendees to take home
People are invited to bring their furry friends along with them to the PetFest, which is filled with entertainment and activities. As part of the entertainment, there will be the parade (or Paw-rade, as it being called), the wiener races, a costume contest for pets only, and an “ask the vet” session.
This is a fundraising event to raise awareness about animals that need adoption, as well as to raise money to support programs such as the animal foster home program. Many of the animals featured at this festival are kept in the local shelters, and are just waiting for someone to come along and adopt them.
Admission to this event is free, and it will be happening today, October 19, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and also tomorrow from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm in the Historic Old Town in Spring, Texas. To learn more about this event, or to check out the schedule, please visit the PetFest 2013 website or call the offices of Historic Old Town. For safety reasons, please note that all pets at the event must be on a leash or in a pen at all times
