Round Rock all set for the big heave

August 25, 2012 by

The annual ‘Fire Truck Pull’ will take place tomorrow, August 26, at the Dell Diamond located at 3400 Palm Valley Blvd., in Round Rock, Texas. This event begins at 3:30 pm with team check-ins, the opening ceremonies at 4:00 pm, and the first pull at 4:30 pm.

Anyone looking for an outstanding, challenging tug of war using monster machinery is sure to be tempted by this event. This day is very much about team-building, using teams that have 12 members that are required to work together towards success.

This is the 3rd annual holding of this event, which uses 55,000-pound fire trucks. Teams who pull the fastest and have the largest amount of raised money will receive the honorary titles of ‘2012 Fire Truck Pull Challenge Champions’.

Registration is required and includes a ticket for one to the Round Rock Express baseball game afterwards. Friends and families of the registered teams receive discounted ticket prices.

This is a family event that has tons of activities for the children as well. There will be information on Fire Awareness using a poster contest, coloring sheets, and face painting. No doubt poster printing will already have been used to promote fire safety.

Team registration is $300 for team of 12, while admission to this event is free and everyone is invited to come out and enjoy a good time. For more details about the Fire Truck Pull, or to register a team, please visit the 2012 Fire Truck Pull website or call 512-671-2871.
