Austin Chronicle’s 22nd Annual Hot Sauce Festival
April 13, 2012 by Sarah
Austin, Texas has always been thought of as a ‘hot’ location for a variety of reasons; the hot Texas summers, the festivals, the parties, and the people, but nothing can even come close to how hot Austin will be during the Hot Sauce Festival. Every year for the past 21 years, Austin has hosted the festival for the locals and visitors from all over Texas to share their spicy and delicious concoctions. The festival offers samples and drinks to cool the tongue to attendees and later a contest will be held for the different kinds of sauces. The contest will likely be separated into four different categories; Individual, Restaurant, Commercial Bottlers People’s Choice, and Commercial Bottlers Judged by Celebrity Judges. From there, each category will be judged by the type of sauce from Red to Green, Pepper and Special Variety.
News concerning this year’s festival is limited as the Hot Sauce festival won’t start until closer towards the end of the summer, but that won’t stop the venue from hiring on print companies to print banners and posters to be hung around the city and the surrounding provinces. Banner printing and poster printing can help promote much needed attendance to numerous events, enabling it to be a fair and simple but ultimately successful business practice.
The 22nd Annual Hot Sauce Festival is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 26 at Fiesta Gardens from 11am to 5:30pm. Further news concerning the festival can be found in the coming weeks at the Austin Chronicle.
