National Night Out 2012

September 30, 2012 by

The National Night Out is a community building campaign that lasts for the entire year. This year the City of Richardson’s competes, once again, for 1st place standings in the nation to showcase their Police and community partnership that work together to battle crime.

National Night Out was designed to send a message to people who commit crime that neighborhoods are organized and prepared to fight back, to build community spirit and community and police partnerships, to gain support for and join in local programs against crime, and to heighten awareness about crime prevention. This event is celebrated by many communities across America by holding block parties, festivals, parades, safety fairs, cookouts, youth events, and visits from law enforcement officers and community officials. This year, many neighborhoods in Richardson will be hosting block parties. To have a street in your neighborhood closed to host a block party, please submit an application through the Richardson National Night Out website or call 972-744-4955. Other planned events are to be announced.

Poster printing and digital flyer printing may have been used to promote this night out to residents in the community. Admission to this event is free and everyone is welcome to attend. This is a great family event. The “National Night Out 2012” is being held on Tuesday, October 2nd from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm located citywide in Richardson, Texas. To find out more information, please visit the community of Richardson’s “National Night Out” website or call the Richardson Police Department at 972-744-4955 during business hours.
