Mansfield Halloween has something for everyone

Mansfield is gearing up for Halloween with activities for young and old. The little ones will get their own Boo Bash, while adults can get into the spirit by taking one of Mansfield’s Ghost Tours.

The Boo Bash will be a carnival-style party of games, snacks including s’mores, crafts, and candy. There will also be a cake walk and a hayride. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Although the evening will be aimed at little ones 2 to 6 years old, older children may also attend. Reservations are required.

Adults who are up for a scarier activity may enjoy joining one of the town’s ghost tours. These 30-to-45 minute tours will begin at the Mansfield Historical Museum and will continue around the block in Old Historic Downtown Mansfield. Guests will need to bring flashlights and wear comfortable walking shoes as there will be a few stairs to climb and plenty of walking in the dark. These tours will have some ghost stories that may be too intense for little ones. Registration is required for this one too.

Parents will want to mark their calendars for October 28th for the Boo Bash. It will take place from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Mansfield Activities Center 100 S. Wisteria.

The Ghost Tours will be October 20, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Mansfield Historical Museum, 102 North Main Street here in town.
