Say “cello” to award-winning young musician

Next week, an ‘Evening with Ravel and Mendelssohn’ will feature cellist Emily Chung, the winner of the Vernell Gregg Young Artists Competition who attends Heritage High School in Frisco, Texas. Services like poster printing might have been used to share this event’s information with people from this city and the surrounding regions.

During this evening, guests will enjoy works by various composers, including Felix Mendelssohn, Maurice Ravel,, and Giuseppe Verdi, as well as the featured performance of Emily Chung.

Emily began taking cello lessons at the age of eleven and her interest in classical music has since grown. Over a two-year period, she won a number of awards at various competitions and, in 2013, took first place at the 2013 Collin County Young Artists Competition in the Junior Strings Division. Since then, she has also taken first place at the 2014 Collin County Young Artist Competition in the Seniors’ String Division, as well as claiming first prize in the Gregg Young competition.

Tickets for this event cost $25 per adult, $20 per senior, and $10 per student. An Evening with Ravel and Mendelssohn will be happening on Friday, February 21, starting at 7:30 pm at the Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater located at 100 North Charles Street in Old Town Lewisville, Texas.
