‘Superior Donuts’, written by Tracy Letts and directed by Ashley H. White, is an action-filled comedy drama coming to Lewisville in a week’s time. Telling the story off a radical aging hippie named Arthur, poster printing services are sure to have been called upon to bring this delightful performance to the people in this community and the surrounding regions.
This story takes place in an independent donut shop in a quickly changing suburb in Chicago, with the focal characters being shop owner, Arthur, and his idealistic assistant Franco. The play deals with how these two characters change one another’s lives and how conflicts can take place as store owners try to change from the old, carefree ways of doing things to integrating modern healthy menu options. At one point, a Russian attempts to buy the shop and a loan shark is after Franko because of gambling debts.
A Pulitzer Prize winning performance, all the characters add a slice of life to this drama. The cast includes Steve Schreur, Jerome Stein, Chavis Humphrey, Kelly Moore Clarkson, and Sean –Michael Cohn.
Ticket costs vary with the seating selection chosen. The Superior Donuts performance will be happening from Friday, February 7 until Sunday, February 23 at 8:00 pm at the Greater Lewisville Community Theatre located at 160 West Main Street in Lewisville, Texas.
