Chance to check out the Old West this weekend

September 26, 2013 by

The 2013 Western Days Festival will give guests the opportunity to explore Wild West through a number of events and live entertainment options. This should be a great event for the entire family, as there is something that everyone will enjoy – something no doubt being highlighted through any poster or banner printing services used to big the event up.

During this festival, participants will enjoy three stages of live music featuring the likes of Fiddle Rascals, Sing Texas, Ben Shurr, Kids Karaoke, and Terry Bloss. Several western movies will be shown on an outdoor screen, while the children will enjoy the Kid Country area. There will also be trick roping, a stick horseshoe rodeo, a car show, a wild western market, a culinary corner with tasty treats, and the World Tamale Eating Contest.

Those who do not find all that enough to quench their thirsts for entertainment can check out the Pie Baking Contest, the Cowboy Camp, Tailwaggers Ranch, and the Boat Show. Live dancers will make for the stage including Frisco Dance Force, Alma y Corazon Tejano Ballet Folklorica, and Lake Cities Ballet Theatre. There is a 5K run featured as well.
