Moneysaving competition to promote Humble lifestyle

July 21, 2012 by

On Saturday, August 25, the ‘So You Think You Can Save’ competition will be held at the Humble Civic Center in Humble, Texas. The competition will take place between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Anybody who is confident that they know how to save money is invited to come out and try their hand at looking after the cents during this annual competition. Some shrewd spenders may feel that nobody believes them when they explain how much money they save, so this competition will provide the opportunity to prove just how much they can save.

During this event, there will be several coupons and samples available, as well as prizes. There will also be cash rewards to the top three people who have saved the largest amount of money. Some of the prizes include retail store cards, gas cards, and the giveaway of gift cards. This event also features many vendors from whom competitors can buy products and there will be children’s activities, including balloons and face painting.

Part of the proceeds on the day will be donated to the elementary school, as well as one local family that is suffering financial hardship and need assistance. Despite being fun event and a fundraising event, competition here is bound to be fierce.

Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to promote this annual event to local competitors. Admission to this event is $5 per adult and children are admitted free. For information, or to register, please visit the Humble Civic Center website or call the center.
