The Kingwood Women’s Club will hold the annual Holiday Marketplace this year on October 28 and 29 at the Humble Civic Center in Humble, Texas. The event also includes a luncheon with proceeds from the shopping show benefiting local philanthropies.

The Kingwood Women’s Club was founded in 1985 and to date has raised over $818,000 for local organizations. The club also provides scholarships to local Kingwood Students.

The only source of funds currently for the club is the annual Holiday Marketplace which is in its seventeenth year. Over 80 vendors are scheduled so far and will offer items such as jewelry, clothing, floral arrangements, gifts, decorations, home décor, specialty foods and other unique products from across the nation. A raffle will be held during the event and many prizes will be given away.

Local printing companies frequently provide marketing materials for event vendors such as banner printing. Banners are typically displayed in the booth with the vendor’s name and product.

A preview party will be held on the evening of October 28 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. A silent auction will also be presented with special items being auctioned. Participation for the preview party is limited to 1,000 guests who will enjoy wine and refreshments and a great shopping experience. Tickets for the preview party are $25.00 per person with proceeds benefiting the Project Mammogram charity in addition to other local organizations.

A luncheon catered by Carrabba’s Restaurant will be served on October 29 for a shoppers’ break and rejuvenation. Ticket price for the luncheon is $25.00. General admission tickets are also available for $8.00 in advance or $10.00 at the door.
