The 50th Worldfest: Houston International Film Festival is taking place next month for 10 days.
The festival attracts filmmakers from all over the world who have the opportunity to showcase their films, videos, and television programs. The films compete for awards in several categories, including Independent Shorts, TV and Cable Production, Music Videos, and Theatrical Features. The awards will be handed out at the end of the festival at the Remi Grand Awards dinner.
The festival will start off with an opening night film screening and champagne gala. In addition to the films, there will be nine masterclass seminars in film production for all skill levels. There will also be several extra tours that ticket purchasers can sign up for, which include a NASA Rocket Park tour and the 31st Houston Yacht Club/Consular Regatta. The festival will finish off with a Texas barbecue and closing night celebration.
Houston poster printing firms may be asked to help promote this event by providing posters that can be displayed all over the city.
The event will be held at AMC Studio 30 from April 21 to 30. A VIP Platinum pass costs $750, which includes all films, parties, and events. Guests can also purchase a film pass for $100 which allows them to see 11 films. Individual film tickets cost $7.50 for a matinee and $12.50 for evening premiers.
