Texas festival extolls the merits of mead

The Inaugural Texas Mead Festival is scheduled to take place on September 22 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm in La Grange, Texas. An entry fee of $5 per person is required to enter the event and all ages are welcome to attend.

Living up to the saying that everything is bigger and better in Texas, The Texas Mead Association was founded and hosted by a variety of different mead brewers and wineries that operate in and around many major cities in Texas, such as Houston and San Antonio, and their membership continues to grow. Now, as the association continues to accumulate more mead brewing companies and honey wineries, the Texas Mead Association has established this event for mead enthusiasts far and wide.

Specifically, the mead brewing companies and wineries that are hosting the event are the Dancing Bee Winery, the Enchanted Manor Winery, and the Rohan Meadery. Together, these three companies have organized an event that is bound to bring mead-lovers and casual guests together for a day of contests, honey tastings, food, family-friendly activities, and much more. One of the more likely popular competitions of the event will be the Mead Competition, wherein many different brewing companies will compete for votes of whose mead best takes the fancy of a selection of judges. During the weeks prior to the festival, printing companies will probably be hard at work as this competition in itself is a good opportunity for business card trading from the breweries competing in the contest.
