Race 4 Charity fundraiser scheduled in Houston

Along with MRS Houston Charities, the Mentis Neuro Rehabilitation (MSR) will be hosting the annual Race 4 Charity on December 15, 2012 at MSR Houston. This year there is an additional race, the Vintage Throwback Challenge class. The street car lapping events are one of the most popular formats and several are planned for this race.

The event is held to support the community in Brazoria and Harris counties with proceeds benefitting the Brazoria Country Toys for Tots and the Rehabilitation Services Volunteer Project. The nonprofit organization assists uninsured people with rehabilitation services for brain and spinal injuries along with amputations. Medical and nursing care, pharmaceuticals, and therapy are encompassed in the services provided.

The Toys for Tots program run by the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is the authorized entity for the fundraising efforts for this event. The non-profit organization manages the campaigns, toy collection and distribution of toys for children in the county. All racers are requested to bring an unwrapped toy.

A great deal of strategic planning is critical to the success of a large event like the race. Local printing companies are called upon to provide printing services to help promote and manage events. Brochure printing is a frequent project as brochures contain all of the necessary information to advertise an event in a visually appealing manner. They can be placed in display locations, distributed via direct mail marketing and handed out at the event.

Online participation registration is currently underway for the Race 4 Charity through December 13. Visit the event website for complete information.
