Marking the third time chosen, Houston has been selected once again as the host city for the 62nd NBA All-Star 2013. Scheduled for February 17 at the Toyota Center in partnership with the Houston Rockets, the event will reinforce the city’s claim as the basketball capital of the world.

Showcasing the top basketball players in the world, the All-Star event will be televised during primetime in over 200 countries and in 40 languages.

The NBA competition kicks off on February 15, with the top rookies squaring off with the second year players in the NBA Rising Stars Challenge. State Farm will present the all inclusive skills showcase the following day. Other sponsors include Taco Bell, Sprite and Foot Locker.

NBA Cares events are also scheduled to support the schools, local nonprofit organizations and government in the community. The NBA All-Star Jam Session is a popular feature and will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Fans will have the experience of participating in the action with the opportunity to meet and obtain autographs from legendary and current players. Fans will get to slam, dribble and shoot all day as well as learn valuable tips from the players.

A Kids’ Zone has been established to offer interactive activities for the children including slam dunks, jump shots and three-pointers.

Brochure printing is a big part of marketing preparation for sporting events. Brochures are usually in a tri-fold format with six panels for information and images to be inserted. They can be widely distributed via handouts, placement at venues and direct mailed.
