Local organization honors wounded service members

Impact A Hero, a non-profit organization based outside of Houston, Texas, is honoring wounded members of our nation’s armed forces with their annual Impact a Hero Weekend. The three-day event will take place June 2nd – 4th and will take place just 30 minutes from Houston in Sugar Land, Texas.

This year, Impact A Hero Weekend will bring together athletes and celebrities to honor more than 40 specific wounded warriors. Texas residents from all over are invited to participate in any of the three main events. The weekend kicks off on Saturday with a 5k “Run, Walk, Wheel” at Mercer Stadium and is followed on Sunday evening by a Hall of Fame Gala Dinner at the Sugar Land Marriott. The weekend will end with a Monday morning Golf Challenge at Champions Golf Club. To reach those in attendance at these events, local business owners and event hosts should contact local print companies to create custom posters, flyers, postcards, and business cards to hand out to those exiting and entering the event attractions.

When creating posters and other printed materials, it’s important to keep your audience in mind. Using language that utilises patriotic feelings towards the event is a great way to catch their attention and encourage them to read further. It’s also important to include a website address, phone number, or email address for potential customers to learn more. Above all, remember that using print materials with a clear, but simple, message is the best way to ensure your information is read and received.
