iWalk for Animals take place in Houston in November

October 14, 2012 by

The Houston SCPCA will host the iWalk for Animals about a month from now, beginning at Sunset. This fundraiser is for assisting the Houston, Texas SPCA in helping abused, neglected, and orphaned animals.

It is not, however, the typical organized style of charity walk with which most people are familiar and may have participated in the past. It is a ‘walk where you are’, meaning participants may walk in the neighborhoods, on trails, at parks, or anywhere they choose.

For animal-loving participants in the walk, those raising a minimum of $100 in donations will receive an iWalk for Animals T-shirt. These are limited edition and can be worn proudly by those people working to assist animals in need of a second chance in life.

The Houston SPCA provides assistance for over 100,000 animals each year that are brought there to escape abuse and neglect or to receive medical attention for injuries and illnesses. The iWalk event contributes substantially to the SPCA so it can continue its life-saving efforts and find forever homes for these animals.

Local printing companies frequently provide printing services for events of this type to help communicate the information to the community. Poster and flyer printing provide means to economically announce and post the details about the events, covering a wide region. The posters can be hung strategically in high-traffic locations and flyers can be distributed from many sources.

The walk takes place on November 11. For more information about this event, visit the Houston SCPA or the iWalk for Animals website.
