Florence and the Machine To Rock Verizon Theater

Florence and the Machine are set to take the stage at the Verizon Wireless Theater on May 2nd.

Although the concert will take place at 8 pm on a Wednesday, the band is are sure to show the audience what’s most loved about it—its individual flair of rock and art. After taking the UK by storm, Florence and the Machine won the hearts of Americans as well after their performance on the Jimmy Kimmel and the David Letterman shows.

Florence Welch formed the band with an old friend—the “Machine.” Today Florence and several other musicians make up the rock band.

One of their most popular songs in the US—“Dog Days are Over”—continues to top the charts although it was originally released in 2009. In the past, Florence has paired up with several other big names—Mary J. Blige, Martina McBride and Christina Aguilera—paying tribute to Aretha Franklin and proving that she can hold her own.

The concert to take place at the Verizon Wireless Theater can situate 2,800 attendees. The Verizon Wireless Theater is located at 520 Texas Street in Houston. The venue, which was built in 1997, accommodates various forms of entertainment including cabaret, theater, comedy and concerts. The Verizon Wireless Theater utilizes flyer printing to advertise its events in addition to other advertising efforts. Other names that have appeared at the Verizon Wireless Theater include Elton John, Ryan Adams, Kylie Minogue and the Deftones.
