Festival celebrates new streets and sidewalks

On May 5, Houston locals will gather to celebrate the completion of new streets and sidewalks in Houston, Texas at the East End Street Fest. From 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., festival-goers can enjoy food, face painting, live music, petting zoos, competitions, and much more. Throughout the day, live entertainment from the Norma Zenteno Band, the Rebel Crew Live Experience, the Pistoleros de Tejas Band, Freneticore Dance, the Milby High School Band, and the Bike Safety Rodeo, among others, will attract a large amount of foot traffic along Harrisburg Boulevard.

Handing out printed flyers or postcards along this route can be a great way to attract passers-by to your restaurant or other business. To reach families or those with small children, distributing your printed materials near the Kid’s Zone or petting zoo is an ideal option. There, children will be gathered with their parents to pet animals and have their faces painted.

Among the competitions, one of the most business-friendly is the Food Truck Decoration tournament. Food vendors at the festival are invited to spice up their trucks with printed banners, posters, and other decorations. To supplement the decorations, vendors can also visit local print companies to print flyers, postcards, and business cards to hand to those passing by. The festival will also feature a Best Taco contest. If your food truck is connected to a restaurant or similar business, handing out printed flyers or business cards with your tacos is a great way to let patrons know where they can find your food on a regular basis, outside the festival.
