Dog-themed event to bark up the right tree

September 15, 2012 by

The 4th Annual Barkitecture Houston will see the city’s top architects, along with designers and artists, creating unique and amazing dog houses that will be auctioned at the event.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Pup Squad, which is a Texan animal group rescuing orphaned kittens and puppies, caring for them, and matching them with adoptive, forever loving homes. The group also provides education to the adopting families as well as for the community as a whole.

Barkitecture will kick off the festivities on Friday, October 26 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with ‘Yappy Hour’. On Saturday, October 27, the dog houses will be on display and the silent auction will take place. A photo contest will take place, along with a wealth of shopping opportunities.

Festivals and special events like this one often utilize the services of local printing companies to produce materials to help advertise and promote them. Banner printing is usually essential for large events, as banners attract attention quickly and easily and can be used for many purposes such as highlighting special activities and directing attendees to select locations such as performances or vendor booths. Vendors and exhibitors often request business card printing too, so that they can give out the cards to solicit future business.

Admission to Barkitecture Houston 2012 event is free to the public. Attendees may bring their dogs on leash and would probably find it useful to visit the event website for further information.
