Dash, the Sightless Dog, is making his way into the hearts of all

A sightless dog will be getting a second chance at love. The little dog’s name is Dash and he’s dashing into the hearts of many who hear about his story. Dash is a Pomeranian mix and was born blind.

This beautiful dog, despite being blind, is described as affectionate, friendly and trusting. Everyone is standing in line to bring this little guy home. Such a little guy will need lots of love and care, but it is certain that Dash will gladly return all of that love and care.

As dogs have such a keen sense of smell, potty-training a sightless dog can be done. It is recommended that the owner not change the layout of the home as any sightless animal becomes accustomed to the layout over time. Some sightless dogs can also be trained to use a doggy door.

For those who have lost a pet, the Houston SPCA recommends flyer printing created from clear photographs of the animal. Dash is available for adoption. Please contact the Houston SPCA to adopt this little guy located at 900 Portway Drive. They have many other animals that need adoption.

The Houston SPCA rescues several animals per day and allow people to adopt them. They have birds, cats, dogs and many other animals. Their information can be obtained online or in-person. The Houston SPCA’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 11 to 7 pm. Saturdays and Sundays, they’re open from 10 until 6 pm.
