Circus comes to Houston

For years, the Cirque du Soleil, or Circus of the Sun, has brought laughter, tears, gasps of fear and awe, and a plethora of other emotional expressions through their daring stunts, beautiful music, and stories that lure the audience on fantastic adventures.

Kooza, one of the many stories featured by the Cirque du Soleil, tells of a loner named The Innocent who travels on a journey to meet a variety of different characters. Throughout the story, there will be a large number of performances showing acrobatic forms of art, the likes of which can only be portrayed by the performers who have honed their skills for this event.

In the story, the protagonist journeys into the world of a man called the Trickster and, throughout his insightful journey, he meets a host of characters such as the King, the Pickpocket, the Obnoxious Tourist, and his Bad Dog. As The Innocent comes into contact with each character, and between scenes, acrobatic performances will take place to help accentuate and move the story. Acts such as the Wheel of Death, balancing on chairs, contortion, a solo trapeze act, and many more will show the audience the limitless prowess of the human body and the artistic mind. Weeks before the shows debut, poster printing services are more than likely to be commissioned by the Cirque’s marketing associates to help promote the show.

Kooza is scheduled to take place on July 27 to August 19 at the Sam Houston Race Park in Houston, Texas. Ticket prices can be found at the event’s website.
