Annual festival showcases the best of barbecue

March 7, 2017 by

The 5th annual Houston Barbecue Festival is taking place next month, presented by Burnt Brisket LLC. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Vita-Living.

What makes this festival different to many other barbecue festivals is that this is not a competition. The best barbecue restaurants are hand-picked by organizers and invited to participate. This year features some of the most popular restaurants, including Blake’s BBQ, The Brisket House, and the Southside Market and BBQ. All guests will enjoy unlimited samples from all of the restaurants, including brisket, ribs, and sausages.

There will also be live musical entertainment and a bar selling local and craft beers. Drink tickets will be available for purchase.

Vita-Living is an organization that provides programs and support for children and adults with disabilities such as cerebral palsy. These programs include group homes, case management and a daycare center.

VIP ticket holders will receive a printed T-shirt, which will more than likely be provided by a Houston printing company.

The Houston Barbecue Festival will be held at NRG Park on April 9 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. General admission tickets are $50 each for guests aged seven and over, while VIP tickets cost $120 and include a T-shirt, one drink ticket, and early entry to the festival.
