January 22, 2013 by Mark
The world’s leading event for offshore resources development, the Offshore Technology Conference, will take place in Houston this May. It is being held at the Reliant Center in Houston and is expected to attract more than 80,000 attendees from over 100 different countries. 2,500 exhibitors are also part of the conference.
The Offshore Technology Conference was founded in 1969 and focuses in the areas of exploration, drilling, production, and environmental protection. Several different companies provide sponsorship for the OTC. Some of those sponsors include the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers, ASME International Petroleum Technology Institute, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the Oceanic and Engineering Society.
An exhibitor roundtable session is planned for January 30 and 31 at the Reliant Center. This is the perfect venue for marketing managers and tradeshow attendees to learn about new promotional opportunities, marketing ideas, and other industry best practices with ample time prior to the conference.
Local printing companies are often kept very busy in advance of large conferences such as this one in preparing many needed forms, supplies, and marketing materials. Business card printing becomes a main staple in orders, as everyone attending these conferences wants to have cards for exchange. In addition to paper business cards, digital business cards are becoming more and more popular. With smartphones dominating the business environment, digital cards can be exchanged using scanning technology and downloaded into contact databases.
The conference, scheduled for May 6 – 9, has a dedicated website with all details; visit the site for complete information.
