Ducks Unlimited set to land in Greenville

The Hunt County Ducks Unlimited Annual Dinner Banquet has been scheduled this month at the National Guard Armory on Jack Finney Blvd.

A BBQ dinner and beverages will be part of the fun evening. Tickets are $45 for a single or $25 for Greenwing. Sponsorships are available at $275 or $600 for a sponsor table. The ticket purchase will also include a one-year membership in Ducks Unlimited.

The world leader in waterfowl and wetlands conservation, Ducks Unlimited began in 1937 at the time of the Dust Bowl. It was a drought-plagued time as the waterfowl dwindled. A small group banded together to forming the organization known today as Ducks Unlimited. The mission of the entity is habitat conservation.

Ducks Unlimited partners with agencies, scientific communities, private individuals, landowners and various supporters throughout the nation. It restores and manages habitats and wetlands for waterfowl in North America, benefiting both people and wildlife.

The vision of the organization is to fill the skies with waterfowl every day. It is a grassroots organization comprised of volunteering outdoor enthusiasts and conservationists living in North America and Mexico for the most part.

Organizations will often work closely with print companies in preparing for events such as banquets and fundraisers, with poster printing being a commonly requested service.

The event will take place on February 28 from 6:00 – 9:30 p.m. For more information visit the Ducks Unlimited website.
