Georgetown looks towards special needs dances
January 3, 2014 by Max
The 2014 Special Needs Dances have been scheduled at the Georgetown Community Center for ages 15 years and older. The dances are held at the Georgetown Community Center from 6:00-8:00 PM on designated Friday nights. The center is located on Morrow Street within San Gabriel Park.
The Special Needs Dance events are hosted by Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department. Future scheduled dates include April 11, July 11 and October 30 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Poster printing is an effective method for communicating upcoming events such as the dances. Posters are typically printed on heavy paper in full color and finish with gloss to preserve the ink. The glossy finish also creates an attractive look.
Posters can be mounted throughout an area, direct mailed and sold at the event as a souvenir. With multiple uses for posters, it is easy to see why local print companies are kept busy filling requests for them.
The Georgetown Parks & Recreation Department offers many programs and is involved in various events. The website contains information about the 2014 Special Needs Dances as well as many other upcoming classes, programs and activities. Sponsorship opportunities are also detailed on the website
Each dance event includes the opportunity to strut your stuff on the dancefloor, photos, food and prizes. Admission is $5.00 per person. A family member or caregiver must be present with the participant throughout the event. Credit card transactions are available for advance bookings. The number to call to purchase the tickets is 512-930-3596. Cash and checks are accepted at the door on the day of the dance.
