Georgetown hosts dances for special needs residents
March 28, 2014 by James
The Georgetown Community Center presents many programs and activities for the city’s residents. The 2014 Special Needs Dances is an ongoing program for children and adults 15 years and older.
The next dance is scheduled for Friday, April 11, beginning at 6:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. and will be themed as ‘Prom’. Along with great dance music, there will be food, photos, and prizes provided.
Many organizations call upon local print companies to provide materials such as banners and posters. Poster printing will produce eye-catching posters to be mounted on pillars, walls, windows, or other flat surfaces. Banner printing is also a common request, as the banners are placed within a venue to highlight specific areas or directional guidance.
Other special needs dances in Georgetown include the Sock Hop scheduled for July 11, and a Halloween celebration to take place on October 30. The dances are hosted by Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department at the community center, which is located on Morrow Street, San Gabriel Park area.
Admission to the dances is $5 per person and tickets can be purchased via credit card in advance. Cash and checks are accepted at the door. Caregivers or family members must accompany the participant at all times.
