Georgetown fest wines and dines

The Georgetown Square will once again be home to some wonderful local vintages and musicians. The Ninth Annual Georgetown Wine and Music Fest is a celebration of the local culture with food, wine, live music, and even some shopping.

A punch card is included with every ticket alongside some custom drinkware. This card will allow visitors to receive a wine tasting from every winery represented at the event plus one bonus tasting. Eleven wineries will be participating – including the Dancing Bee Winery, Georgetown Winery, Grape Creek, the Tom Bombadil Meadery and many others – meaning each card is worth twelve tastings in total.

Additionally VIP tickets are available online which include cooking demonstrations and food samples from restaurants like Gumbos North, Brix and Ale, El Monumento, and Sweet Lemon Inn and Kitchen.

During all this tasting and sipping, live music will also be playing. Three local acts will be performing for the evening. Ed Kilman is an Austin based musician and music publisher. Mike Hamilton is a Killeen native who plays a fusion of jazz, pop, funk, and R&B. Finally Addison Myrick is a vocalist who mixes jazz, country, and classics; she will be accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Bob Kalka.

The Georgetown Wine and Music Fest will be held on September 24 from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Georgetown Square, located downtown. Tickets are $30 for regular or $40/$50 for the two VIP ticket options. Anyone interested in more information should visit the website.
