Fashion show benefits SafePlace

‘A Day to Shine’ Fashion Show will hold its sixth annual event at the Austin Hilton in just a couple of weeks.

Proceeds from the event will benefit SafePlace’s program, Expect Respect. Claire and Doug English will be honored with the Lifestyle Award at the fashion show, which signifies commitment to healthy and positive relationships, as well as building and maintaining strong character.

A Day to Shine was launched in 2008 as a means of increasing awareness of prevention of dating abuse. It includes an afternoon dessert treat and then an early fashion show specifically for students and athletes attending schools from surrounding communities, including Austin, Georgetown, and Odessa. The fashion show will present the most modern and popular attire for teenagers and is sure to be a fun event for the youth in the audience.

The evening event provides a delicious dinner, fabulous fashion show, and lovely gala to raise funds to enhance and grow the programs of Expect Respect. The program is an outreach effort providing assistance to thousands of students via support groups, education, and counseling.

Working with local print companies for programs such as this provides a great resource to the event planners. Printing services can include flyers, banners, catalogs, and invitations. Catalogs provide the perfect tool to highlight the models and the sponsors participating in the event.

A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available for this event, and the SafePlace website has complete information about sponsorships, ticket sales, and the complete program. To speak with a representative from SafePlace about this April 13 event, contact 512-356-1689.
