Fort Worth dinner gets wild

Outdoor enthusiasts, hunters, and more are getting ready for the Call of the Wild Sportsman’s Dinner 2017. The event offers prizes, auctions, and a guest speaker in a community setting.

Every year, the dinner includes a talk by a notable person from the world of outdoor survival, camping, sport hunting, shooting, or fishing. This year, the talk will be given by former U.S. Navy Seal Chad Williams. He will talk about his life, starting as a teenager who was mentored by another former Seal, then moving on to his time in the Navy Special Forces, and finally culminating in an encounter with the toughest man he had ever met, which changed his life forever.

Aside from the talk and dinner, a prize giveaway will also take place. In previous years, over $10,000 of promotional products, hunting equipment, and camping gear have been given away. A special giveaway will also be held for guests who reserve a whole table. A silent auction will run at the end of the dinner for a number of very special hunting, fishing, and camping items.

The Call of the Wild Sportsman’s Dinner 2017 will be held next Thursday, February 23 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the River Ranch Stockyards, located at 500 NE 23 St. Tickets are $40 a person or $400 for a table of eight with premium seating. Anyone looking to reserve seats, or to find more info, should visit the website.
