Taste of Dallas returns for 26th year

July 13, 2012 by

Residents of Dallas will celebrate the 26th year of Taste of Dallas this weekend, with things getting underway today, July 13. The event runs until Sunday and will be held in Fair Park, comprising 277 acres of culture, exhibitions, sporting facilities, and entertainment. Held in an indoor, air-conditioned area, entertainment and activities will be provided for all members of the family in the 150,000 square foot venue.

Some of the very best chefs in Dallas will be giving demonstrations of their culinary skills, while specialty foods will available for all to sample. The children will not be forgotten either as Kids’ Taste Town will have cooking demonstrations just for them, along with a petting zoo. Food trucks and more than 60 restaurants from Dallas will be demonstrating their wares at Taste Curbside, a brand new feature for 2012.

Not all the event will feature food and drink, as visitors will be given the chance to appreciate some of the local music and art. The Taste Music Stage will feature live music for visitors to Taste of Dallas, while new artists will feature at the Artist and Crafter’s Enclave. As ticket prices are kept relatively low, being $8 on the gate for adults and free of charge for children aged 12 or below, demand for tickets is expected to be high. Organizers may have used the services of a local printing company to provide poster printing services, which will publicize the annual event.

The American Heart Association will receive a portion of the proceeds from the event, to continue its work.
