Although there are still 11 months to go before the Mustangs Across America 50th Anniversary drive, the registration list already shows 200 cars are ready to drive across America to celebrate the 50th birthday of Mustang Club of America (MCA), passing us here in Dallas on the way.

Taking in Phoenix, Midland, Dallas, Jackson, and Atlanta, the will commence on April 10, 2014 in Los Angeles, with Mustangs from across America of all generations taking part, as well as some from overseas. The drive will last for seven days, with Mustangs joining along the way.

In 2009, the 45th anniversary drive had more than 600 Mustangs taking part and even more are expected for the 50th anniversary. The drive has earned a reputation as being ‘The Mustang Drive of a Lifetime’ and organizers are making sure that the events taking place along the way will be worthy of that name. The planned route will cover around 350 to 375 miles each day with stops for lunch and optional tours. Every day will have something planned by local clubs to make the event special.

The fee for entry is priced at $99.99 but will include mementos of the 50th anniversary, such as commemorative coins and other souvenirs. The local banner printing services of a print company may be required to promote the planned route and the event. Promotion will already be taking place with flyer printing to provide details of the route along with dates and times of events. The MCA 50th Birthday Celebration will take place in Charlotte.
