Dallas goes into December hungry for more

There is no better month than December for sampling food, and Dallas is certainly going to be a city with a big appetite this December.
Firstly, the Uptown Dallas Walking Food Tour has surprised organizers by attracting as many local residents as tourists. Since its launch in June this year, tourists and locals have been eager to combine the historic sightseeing of Uptown Dallas with samples of some of the best cuisine in the area.
It will be taking place every Saturday and Sunday throughout December. With reservations required and some December tours sold out already, however, it would be wise for those interested to make their booking via the website as quickly as they can.
Taking a more rustic and homegrown approach, December 5 will see the Home of Gaye Jackson in Swiss Avenue host the ‘Taste The Honey Food Swappers’. Held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, it welcomes guests to bring along their pickles, sauces, jams, spices, freshly-grown veg and backyard produced eggs to swap with other lovers of locally produced food. Attendees are asked to bring at least four food items to swap, something to eat them on and with, and a beverage to share and enjoy with the food.
With so many food-related events on the Dallas menu, it would be no surprise if local print companies had a lot on their plate this month as organizers of these events look to appear to rumbling stomachs in the area.
