Dallas Arboretum combines arts and flowers for Artscape

The last weekend of April presents Artscape, the Dallas Arboretum’s Annual Fine Art Show and Sale.

The art fair, held in the arboretum’s breathtakingly beautiful gardens, will include artists from all across the U.S. The event will feature artists demonstrating their craft, art for sale, entertainment, and food.

This year, a new feature for the event is the members-only preview held a day before the public show starts. The preview event will include music and the opportunity to purchase beverages. Members will enjoy the opportunity to shop prior to the event’s opening to the public. In order to gain entry to the preview, attendees will need to show their membership card.

Visitors to Artscape will have the opportunity to casually stroll through the gardens, browse artwork for sale, and watch as representatives of the Creative Arts Center of Dallas demonstrate how different types of art are produced. Among the artistic talents to be demonstrated are sculpting, jewelry making, painting, printmaking, and mosaics.

The members-only preview will take place Friday, April 25 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and April 27, the show is open to the public from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Participating artists in this type of event often engage brochure printers to produce not only brochures, but also digital business cards for them to hand out to potential buyers.
