Plan for tasty BBQ Fun
January 3, 2014 by James
People in Conroe always look forward to the festival and events taking place frequently in Texas throughout the year. The BBQ Cook-off is a highly anticipated competition hosted by the Montgomery County Fair Association.
The BBQ event brings some of the best grillers in the region to the forefront to compete in teams in cooking and serving ribs, pork, beef and other specialties of the craft.
In addition to the cook-off, there will be many activities at this family-friendly gathering. A junior horseshoe pitching contest will take place after the cook-off on Friday. The presentation of awards will occur in the arena after the competition.
On Saturday the BBQ fun will kick-off at 8:00 AM until 1:00 AM. Horseshoe pitching will begin at 8:30 AM, again with awards being presented thereafter. The BBQ Cook-Off Contest takes place at 6:30 PM with awards after the competition. Entertainment is provided throughout the weekend.
Oftentimes local print companies work with exhibitors and participants in providing print materials needed for the events. Banner printing is a common project as each booth or stand participant will need a heavy vinyl banner to place in the area. The banner will have the business or contestant’s name on it along possibly with a logo, phone number, address or website address.
The BBQ Cook-off is scheduled for April 11-13, 2014 and will be held at 9201 Airport Road in Conroe. For more information or to sign up to compete, visit the event website or call 936 760-3631.
