Painting with a Twist spring break
March 6, 2013 by James
Painting with a Twist in Conroe has scheduled Spring break workshops for children the week of March 11.
Billed as for “kids only”, the workshops will include talented artists working with young artists-in-training to create unique works of art.
Each registered student will have a painting choice of over 2,500 pieces of artwork from the Painting, with a Twist library on a 16×20 canvas. The artwork is used as a training tool for students to follow during the classes. Aprons will be provided for each participant.
The company began as Corks N Canvas in 2007 in Louisiana, expanding to four locations throughout the area soon thereafter. In 2009, the founders, Cathy Deano and Renee Maloney, began under the name ‘Painting with a Twist’. A total of 79 locations across the company are now in operation, and it is now the nation’s leading employee of aspiring artists, recognizing that the talent and enthusiasm displayed by the staff is the key component for success.
Fully supporting the community in each location, the owners developed ‘Painting with a Purpose’. The event is a fundraiser held each month at the Corks N Canvas and Painting with Twist business locations with proceeds benefiting local charities.
Many entities of this type work with local printing companies in their communities for production of materials needed to market the events. Postcard printing serves as a good method for direct mail programs announcing upcoming workshops and fundraisers. Postcards are inexpensive to produce and mailing costs are lower, so they are a useful component of a marketing plan.
Workshops take place from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
