Conroe ready to run for it
March 1, 2014 by Max
Conroe residents are gearing up for the Woodlands Marathon in Texas today. The event includes options of participating in the full, half, 5K, 2K or marathon relay.
Hosted by Fidelity Investments, the marathon will begin on Six Pines Drive moving to Millbend, Sawdust, Glen Loch Drive, South Panther and through the region. After making the loop, the marathon will conclude back at Six Pines Drive at the finish line.
A special feature of the marathon event is the Launch Charity Challenge. It is a program for athletes to share their experience with family and friends. Running the marathon raises funds for the selected charity organizations or any associated with Reason2Race.
With no cost to participate and no minimum requirements pertaining to fundraising, the Launch Charity Challenge is fun for all. Participants are encouraged to set a goal of at least $1,000.
A Reason2Race page will be set up for the participants where online donations can take place. Donations offline are also accepted with cash or checks. The offline contributions can be tracked through the fundraising page, as well.
Race events utilize banners for directional signage for the runners. Banner printing is often handled by a local print company. There are many options to consider when creating a banner, and any color combination can be created in line with branding and entity themes.
The Woodlands Marathon will take place on March 1. More information is available on the event website.
