Conroe comes together for the kids this month

April 8, 2014 by

Several entities in Conroe are working in collaboration to present the annual Kids of the Streets camping event, which takes place later this month.

Conroe Concerned Citizens, Inc., Twelve Stones, The Second Wind for Life Initiative, Easley Enterprises of Texas, and the Third Coast Sportsman Club of Houston have partnered for this major activity.

The event is a campout for children ages 8-15 at the Twelve Stones Ranch on Hi Lo Lane. Children should bring a sleeping bag and comfortable clothing, as well as their registration form. Food and drinks will be provided.

The attendees will have fun exploring the working ranch and interacting with citizens who are known to be model citizens. The leaders will handle facilitation of discussion regarding prevention of drug and alcohol abuse, school truancy, and bullying.

Flyer printing is a frequent step in organizing city activities like this. The flyers should include the event information, as well as contact details. A local print company can make suggestions for the most effective flyer layout for the particular event.

Registration is free and there are still several spots available through the various participating entities. Visit any of the websites of the sponsoring partners for complete details and to register children for the campout.

This year’s camp will be held on the weekend beginning April 25
