Anarchy and Revolution conference dates confirmed
December 19, 2013 by Max
A winter conference called ‘Illustrating Anarchy and Revolution: Mexican Legacies of Global Change’ will take place at the Doubletree in Austin, Texas in February. Attendees from neighboring communities, including Georgetown, are anticipated.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Claudio Lomnitz, the author of ‘The Return of Ricardo Flores Magon: Ideology and Absence in the Mexican Revolution’. He is a Columbia University Author.
The conference will present the historical efforts that have taken place for a better political future. The conference will chronicle the Mexican Revolution’s legacy, the routes out of the area that were used, and the vast array of activities to create opportunities for the insurgents.
The 20th Century will be explored through exhibitions, arts, and academic conferences. White papers are being sought in areas where 20th Century revolutionary networks within the U.S and Mexico borders existed and the activities involved.
Oftentimes, banner printing is a project for local print companies in preparation for conferences. The banners can be placed throughout a region announcing the event to create interest and enhance participation, and can also be placed in parking lots to direct motor traffic. The banners can also be placed within a venue to highlight specific areas, seminars, or exhibits. As the banners are printed on heavy vinyl, they can withstand outdoor weather elements.
The session is scheduled to take place over February 5 – 6, 2014 beginning at 6:00 pm on the first day. For more information on the conference, visit its website.
