November 21, 2012 by

The dynamic duo of Steel Magnolia, consisting of Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones, is a country singing group that gained attention through the television show ‘Can You Duet’. The duo arrives in McKinney at the end of the month.

It was during the second season of “Can You Duet” that Linsey and Jones competed and won the competition. After this exposure they were signed by Big Machine Records, releasing their first single called “Keep on Lovin’ You” in 2009.

After a collection of singles had been released in 2011, Steel Magnolia was nominated for ‘Best New Duo’ by the Association of Country Music. A week later, the pair released its self-titled album and the rest is history. This group is known for its vibrancy and has a stage presence the audience will not want to miss.

Poster printing, brochure printing, and flyer printing may have been used to promote this country duo to residents of this community and the surrounding area. Admission is $30 per person with a limit of 400 available.

Steel Magnolia will be performing on Thursday, November 29 from 8:15 pm to 10:00 pm at the McKinney Performing Arts Center located at 111 N. Tennessee Street in McKinney, Texas. For tickets, visit the McKinney Performing Arts Center website or call Lara Marsh at 214-544-4630.
After performing in McKinney, Steel Magnolia moves on to Illinois, Connecticut, and New Jersey in December. The group’s website has full details of its current tour.
