Collin County Home and Garden Show hosts celebrity speakers, home improvement vendors

February 18, 2012 by

Friday, February 17 through Sunday, February 19 the annual Collin County Home and Garden Show will be held at the Allen Events Center. Over 150 vendors will be in attendance, featuring the latest home, gardening and DIY trends. There will be live cooking demonstrations, and home improvement seminars by celebrities such as “The Wall Wizard,” Brian Santos, and Donna Moss will demonstrate new home improvement techniques.

The show is a great way for consumers to save money on home improvement products and services such as remodeling, building, gardening, landscaping, interior design, art and furnishings; some vendors will offer discounts and special pricing only available during the show, and with so many vendors in attendance, it will be easy to compare pricing and services in order to get the best deals.

For eco-friendly consumers, it may be a good idea to hold off on gardening purchases until mid-March; on Saturday, March 17, Brice Creelman, from nursery and landscape company Shades of Green, Inc., will be presenting a seminar called “Next Time, Choose Drought-Tolerant Plants,” one of the many seminars in the Sustainable Landscape series, at the Municipal Courts and Parks and Recreation Building.

Nevertheless, the Home and Garden show will be a great opportunity to advertise local home decorating and gardening stores and services, so business card printing and pre-event flyer printing is sure to be in demand.

Tickets are only available onsite, and only during show hours. For more information, visit the Allen Home and Garden Show website.
