The Color of Stars

On Saturday, April 28th the Tempe Center for the Arts will be hosting “The Color of Stars”. The Tempe Center for the Arts is located at 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway in Tempe. This event begins at 4pm and will run until 5pm.
This theatrical presentation features Allie who is on a quest to find out more about her grandfather. Set in the 1940s, while his father is fighting overseas, young Eddie is residing in rural Maine. While the local residents struggle to understand the issues of doing the right thing, understanding their suspicion of foreign people, and patriotism, families become separated and new allegiances are built with challenges. While all this is happening, young Eddie finds himself in the center of a crisis situation that requires him to make some decisions that will shape the remainder of his life. This is a very touching and emotional store based on life, as they new it, in America during the Second World War, interjected with modern day similarities and parallels about the costs of war at home and overseas.
During this emotional time, young Eddie feels as if he is far away from everything that matters in his life and his home. It is with the sudden appearance of a strange that the crisis erupts and only Eddie can solve the problems that are now tearing his town apart and the principle of telling the truth.
Theatregoers may have seen the results of a promotional poster printing run, and tickets are now on sale – preview $12 and other nights $12 – $25 depending on seating selection.
