Local citizens to enjoy the Gilbert Art Walk
December 16, 2013 by James
Timelessbuttons, LLC is once again hosting the Gilbert Art Walk—an event set up for artists near and far to set up their wares for all to see (and to sell). This will be the third year for the walk after much success with the first two.
Visitors can pace through the area free of charge admiring the work of both professional and amateur artists. Various dance and music organizations will also be performing throughout the event, and restaurants in the area will be serving lunch.
The Art Walk is held for two reasons: the first is to offer artists a venue for exhibiting their products, while the second is to allow those in the community an opportunity to see art in virtually all of its varied formats, from painting, sculpture, and pottery to photography, music, and puppetry.
Prices for art are set by the artists, and range from just a few dollars to thousands, thus the field will be set for collectors as well as those simply looking for something interesting to put on a shelf. Also, print companies and/or those that work with them will be exhibiting paper products ranging from poster printing to digital business cards for both their fellow vendors and other visitors.
The Gilbert Art Walk took place last weekend and will also be held this Saturday, December 21, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Watertown Plaza in downtown Gilbert. Both admission and parking are free.
